Video: Build Adjustable Solar Panel Mounts
This video is an update: easy to build adjustable solar panel mount for an existing wood fence. You have your solar panel. Now you need to get it placed so the sun hits it and you can make the solar cell panel connect as needed to deliver power.
If you have a wooden fence at your home, the video shows you how to incorporate this and get your solar panel set mounted. And the system looks sturdy! An added advantage is that you can adjust the frame to suit the panel positioning.
A frame and some bricks are used to do this. The bricks are moveable and they are what hold down the properly covered and protected wiring at the bottom of the panels. The video also indicates that a clamp is used to attach the conduited wiring to the brick.
Dust and small debris can even blow away under the panel, because the panel is raised up on the brick. There’s a way to make the angle of the solar cell panels even easier to adjust using another support brace. But the video author seems ambivalent about using this for several reasons.
